The Andrew Class is named after the disciple Andrew. This class studies scripture and topics directly from the Bible. This approach is designed to create a greater understanding and interest as we all learn from each other. Our class meets in the church library each Sunday morning, join us any time.
A multigenerational class whose curriculum is chosen by the members of the class. The members of the class participate in a discussion based on current events and curriculums. Our class meets in the classroom located next to the library, come join us!
Whether you are formally trained or a shower singer who can’t read music, if you have a passion for singing God’s praise, join us every Sunday at 10:30 am & Wednesday at 7:00 pm in the fellowship hall to prepare for leading the congregation in worship through music. Led by our Choir Director, Sandy Poppell, the choir leads the congregation in musical worship for our Sunday 11:00 am Traditional Service.
The Men’s Breakfast is a chance to meet some of the men of Salem and share in Christian fellowship. Our get-togethers consist of fellowship, praying over anything going on in your life (optional), a devotional, and of course, breakfast. Although the attendees are mainly from Salem UMC, anyone is welcome. Our goal is to get to know each other and support one another. We meet at 7:45 am each Wednesday at the Country Kitchen Restaurant (3840 N Monroe St #105, Tallahassee, FL 32303).
Prayer in the Park is a prayer team that meets in the Havana Community Park’s gazebo (203 5th Ave E, Havana, FL 32333, the park is located behind the Library) Wednesdays at 11:00 am. This group of prayer warriors shares how they can prayerfully be in support of each other. Then pray (aloud or silently) over family, community, country, church, school, job, personal needs, and more.
The SMW Group is a faith-based membership organization of laywomen. We are organized for mission, and our members are committed to growing as disciples of Jesus Christ.
Laundry Baskets are transformed into Moses Baskets through quilting and crafting to provide a special bassinet for needy newborns.
